Illustration Friday: Stay!

A good friend of mine posed for this weeks Illustration Friday Topic: Stay!  She’s often thinking “Should I Stay, or Should I Go…”  Hope she stays, and finds her way into a book of mine.

Michelle Kogan is an illustrator, instructor, painter and writer, creating colorful allegorical figure, flora and fauna paintings and children's illustrations, which have a sensitivity to endangered species, and the environment. She is an art instructor at the Evanston Art Center and offers Plein Air Painting Workshops at nature venues in the Chicago area including the Lincoln Park Conservatory, Lurie Gardens in Millennium Park, the Chicago Botanic Garden, and the Emily Oaks Nature Center.

    • Hi Sally, Thanks for taking a look and your comments, I think the real water dragon is lovely too! I’ve been looking over your two different sties today, throughout the day, when I had a moment here and there. Great Work! “Lucy Loves Ducky” is such a strong piece, you really captured a moment in the watercolor piece, and it’s full of energy! Your present piece “Stay With Me,” seems influenced by the Surrealists, I enjoy all the texture in it! Have you ever read The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate by Jacqueline Kelly?
