Day 27 Haiku for National Poetry Writing Month

Rachel’s Journey

Two years ago
you decided
to take a

You decided
we would transverse
this journey

the journey began
grew, twisted, winded,
hit a fork,
and reemerged
full of renewed

I became inspired
by you,
your dedication,
and unending
in the face of much

You set a task
reached, stumbled,
fell, climbed,
and finally
soared as smoothly
as an eagle

Let this be
the beginning of
many, many tasks
that you embark upon

And carry your
courage, and
enticing tenacity
into all of your
future ambitions
that you encounter
along your way
