This painting Beauty Bewick’s Wren and Toad, endangered species is in my exhibit Narratives of Nature Watercolors by Michelle Kogan, at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum through Oct. 13, 2013. I’ll be giving a another Gallery Walk were I talk about my artwork and the nature connection it has on Saturday, October 5 th at 1:00 pm.

I started the painting in the English Gardens of the Chicago Botanic Gardens, and later finished it in my studio. The toad was actually there…
