
A quick sketch for Illustration Fridays topic Underwater. I did this sketch of these lovely red slider turtles over the summer while my daughter was taking care of the critters at the Evanston Ecology Center. Suggesting that they were active is an understatement and added to the challenge of capturing their movement… I dropped in this background color and texture in Photoshop. I’d like to return to the image in the future and paint it in watercolors. Oh yes, I dropped in a bit of red also.
