My Buddy Liz, poem and sketch NaPoWriMo day 23, 2014

My Buddy Liz

my buddy Liz
looking at me
head on without
a wink, breath,
or stir,
with his
incredible
smile
from
jowl to jowl,
cocks his head
contemplating
thoughts,
still staring
inquisitively
still as a statue
silent yet
talking,
head takes a
right angle turn
thoughts
racing
taking in all,
a study in
centering,
focusing,
breathing…
