And here’s the perfect get away right here in the city, one of my two summer classes:

Plein Air Watercolor Class at: Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (starts in 3 weeks)

Plein Air Watercolor Class with artist Michelle Kogan
Open to Adults and Teens age 13+
Session 2 July 12th, 19th, & 26th Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Rate $140 per class
Absorb yourself in a Plein Air Watercolor Painting Workshop amongst summer
perennials and prairie grasses in the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum’s native prairie.

Sketching at the Art Institute & Lincoln Park Conservatory  Five week Classes
E0154B Start Date Thursday July 17
9:30 am – 12:30 pm & when at the Art Institute: 10:30 am  – 1:30 pm
Regular Member Rate: $ 140 Discounted Resident Rate: $ 135
Grab your sketch pad and we’ll draw in the galleries of the Art Institute of Chicago and paint in the Lincoln Park Conservatory Green houses. We may then head back to the Evanston Art Center and spend some sessions turning these sketches into finished drawings/painting, or complete the session on location. All levels are welcome. Directions of where to meet for the first class will be emailed to you. For the field trip sketching bring:  9 x 12 inch or smaller sketch pad, 3-4 #3B staedtler mars drawing pencils and kneaded eraser.
Skill Level All Levels Ages 18+
