Poem and sketch for day 23 ‪#‎NaPoWriMo‬

Teasing Spring Sparrows
© Michelle Kogan
Teasing me before my window
a pair of sparrows flutters by.

Soaring up to a high branch by
blossoming canopies above.

Darting across, reaching rooftops,
seconds later back on branches.

Flashing unabashedly right
before my nose then, off again.

I could wander away my day
waiting to sketch your silhouette…

But you bob in branches below,
Aren’t you bothered by me yet?
