For Poetry Friday I’m offering this WIP image and acrostic poem for a new zine that I am working on. The idea for the zine came about when I was asked to do a workshop on Zine’s that is being co-offered by the Evanston Art Center and the Evanston Public Library. Participants in the Zine workshop are all reading the book  The Other Wes Moore: One Name Two Fates , and then they have to pick out some pivotal point in their  life and create a zine about it.

The 2016 election has been a very pivotal point in my life and hence the idea for a zine called Voices. The art and poem here will appear on the front and back of the zine. The workshop is being offered on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 4:00pm. For more info contact the: Evanston Art Center. By the way if you haven’t read The Other Wes Moore: One Name Two Fates, I highly recommend it!
