AUTUMN CHANGES

Autumn under your nose
ushers in all kinds of change–
already spent flowers
anemone’s that waited
amber, ochre leaves afire,
a’ glowing marigolds, zinnias, and mums
anticipated pumpkins and gourds
altering breezes
accordion temps toppling this way and that
aaahhing at Mother Nature’s tapestry
all wrapped in fall garland
awaiting your eyes alone…
