Happy Poetry Friday!
Today I’m Happy to share with you images from my Student’s Exhibit: ART: PROCESS, PRACTICE, PRESENTATION. We had a wonderful opening last Sunday with delectable edibles and conversations! The artwork is from four classes that I teach at the Evanston Art Center–Figures and Nature: Drawing/Painting; Watercolor: Materials, Composition & Technique; Children’s Picture Book Illustration; and Pen & Ink & Dr. Martin Watercolor. And by the way, registration for Spring Classes at the Evanston Art Center has begun. Make your way down to the bottom, and you’ll find a thank you poem there…

Here’s my thank you to all my oh so talented, dedicated, and persevering students:
JAUNTY THANKS!
Although I’m not
monetarily wealthy,
students keep my spirits
quite jaunty and healthy.
There’s nothing I’d rather
spend hours upon,
then eagerly urge
your art on till dawn…
You’ve tickled my heart
from deep down inside–
A mountain of thank-yous
to all with much pride!

Congratulations! You should be proud of your student’s work.
Thanks Kathy, yes I’m very proud of all!
Michelle! You’ve been busy. Oh, my goodness…what beautiful, beautiful pieces of art. You must be so proud. I have a special love for the illustrations. They are darling! So much fine detail and love go into spreads for a book. I love the smile on the face of the student next to her painting of a child cuddled up on top of an animal and the moon hanging…next to a ladder. Will you get any rest before your next class(es?). I hope so. And, take a bow, lady! You deserve one. Bravo!
Oh wow! What a feast of artwork and celebration. And I just read Janice’s review of AFTER DARK. It looks delightful.
Wow, lots of fabulous work — wonderful exhibit. You must be very proud!
My regret, that I cannot take a class from you, Michelle. What a pleasure it would be. I’m sure I’m not as talented as these artists you’ve shared, but would love the learning. How proud you must be of all of this art. I loved especially the picture book illustrations! Congratulations for all the accomplishment.
Wow! Your students have done amazing work! Congratulations! Ruth, thereisnosuchthingasagodforsakentown.blogspot.com
I can’t imagine how proud you must be. Wonderful show!
Just Wow! You must be like a proud Mama! Your student’s work is amazing Michelle.
Oh my, oh my! This is indeed a feast! Huge congratulations to you for teaching such rewarding classes. I want some of those pieces myself, and I’d love to give the elephant’s plinkety plunk to my mother-in-law. And thanks for sharing… loved it.
What a ton of gorgeous work. I’m so impressed! Heading over to your other post now. 🙂
You must be SO proud! Look at all that art you’ve inspired!!
Fantastic! Your students are obviously enjoying developing their skills. Great job, all!
