I’m dreaming about summer flowers and sunshine…
LOST BUT FOUND
Fleur de vigne
went through the wash
umpteen-some times
shriveled email
rescued at last
contact reclaimed
anecdote note
photo those scraps
else they’ll fade away…

Happy Poetry Friday!
I wasn’t going to post anything this week for I am on my way out the door to a SCBWI Midwest Conference in the morning. But I read Jama’s lovely flowered filled post and wanted to add some more flowers to our chilly May beginning. Thank you for your lovely post Jama in words and images! Visit Jama’s blog Jama’s Alphabet Soup for some delectable strawberries, rich poetry, art, and more poetry listings. Hope to catch up with all the poetry offerings on my return. Thanks for hosting this week Jama!
I love the ‘photo’ you made, Michelle. Have fun at your conference.
Thanks for adding to this week’s bouquet, Michelle. Enjoy the conference!
Beautiful! Enjoy your conference! I love the tone of elegance (French for lilies) against commonness (the “wash”) created by the juxtaposition in your first two lines.
Love the Stargazer Lilies! Summer for sure! I hope your spring warms up!
When I have need of flowers, I always know your blog is where I should turn!
I’m so glad you rescued the shriveled email! The painting is so lovely, and the poem too. Ruth, thereisnosuchthingasagodforsakentown.blogspot.com
Thanks Ruth, I’m happy I found it too for this person wants to take a Plein Air Class with me this summer.
I love “umpteen-some times” and that fabulous painting. Have fun at your conference!
Beautiful poem and painting. Enjoy the conference! Wish I could be there!
Thanks Kimberly, there’s been some outstanding sessions. One on sound and poetry with Shutta Crum and one yesterday with one more to come today from Cheryl B. Klein.
Yes yes yes! to photographing all these memories. In my house I photograph grocery lists because I know it’s going to go missing.
My favorite lost and found from the laundry are $20 bills! Rare, yes, but that’s what makes them so fun!! Glad you saved the contact!
Small treasures found, stories captured before they fade—$20s are fun to find!
I’m glad you shared some more flowers. They brightened my day! Enjoy the conference.
Michelle, your artwork is as lovely as ever and so is your poem. Thank you for taking the time to fill my mind with summer flowers.
Thanks Carol, I think the color helps many of us this time of year!
