Happy Poetry Friday!
I’m in with a very short post… I’m working on an exhibit proposal that’s due very soon. The WIP image here is an environmental piece that has two haikus, here they are:
it’s the bees knees
as long as we still have bees,
thrive pollinators!
fill our fields and
gardens with violas,
fritillary friends.

Be sure to stop by Linda Mitchell’s blog, A Word Edgewise. She’s hosting this week’s Poetry Friday Roundup, thanks Linda, and featuring her annual Clunker Exchange!
I love the phrase, “it’s the bee’s knees.” It’s one of my favorites and I use it often. Best of luck on your proposal. I am astounded at the art you produce, teach, enjoy and I learn so much from you. Thank you, Michelle for being an artist that I “know” through the miracles of the internet.
And, Happy Mother’s Day to you!
Thank you, Michelle! I love how you incorporated the poem into the painting. It’s “the bees knees!”
Best wishes on your proposal, Michelle! I love the woman in your painting! And, “fritillary friends.” is just right for spring! Thank you!
Good luck with your exhibit proposal, Michelle! I loved your poems and photos in Picture Perfect Poetry! Gorgeous — as is everything that you create!
Wishing you peace and focus as you prepare your exhibit proposal, Michelle!
Have been having bee conversations with four year old, Isabel this week, so your bee haikus fit right in, Michelle. Bees are the buzz word at present. As you say-they’re the bees knees. Best wishes for the success of your exhibit.
I love how you tucked your poems into your art!
Your poems and art bee-long together, Michelle. Bee-utiful! 🐝
You’re the bee’s knees, Michelle! 🙂
Gorgeous, Michelle–the wio and the haiku. I especially love the second one. It sounds so…abundant, welcoming …
I love your WIP, especially the bee. Happy Mother’s Day.
Michelle, thank you for sharing your work in progress. Beautiful already! I love how the haiku are embedded in the artwork. I love “thrive pollinators” and “fritillary” is such a fun word. All the best with your exhibit proposal.
